This shot was taken at 6am. I put up a tie dyed sheet over my windows because I was getting so annoyed with the sun peeking through my blinders and blinding me before I can even wake up. It was a rainy day today but usually when there is sun it shines on the sheet and then painting my room with a nice orange color. Its a soothing thing to wake up to.
Its a fairly old and popular song but I still love it. The video is really interesting too.

today, i am alive
These are shots for my B&W photo class. I'm really happy with the way they came out. I love the contrast of them. The project was to take pictures in a 5x5 area. These were taken in my kitchen when the sun was shining through my little window.

Lovage
Shirt from Bou Bou, necklace and purse from Goodwill, oxford shoes from Wild Pair, fedora hat from NYC street stands
Thanksgiving was short and interesting as usual. My Thanksgiving consists of me, my mom and my sister. No turkeys. No stuffing. No cranberries. We do Thanksgiving with a hot pot and it's freaking awesome and delicious! Thanksgiving never reminded me of turkeys anyway; just a reason for families to see each other.
I now leave your with a song I can't stop listening to.

We all want to be famous people, and the moment we want to be something we are no longer free.
What is needed, rather than running away or controlling or suppressing or any other resistance, is understanding fear; that means, watch it, learn about it, come directly into contact with it. We are to learn about fear, not how to escape from it.
You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance, and write poems and suffer and understand, for all that is life.
Your belief in God is merely an escape from your monotonous, stupid and cruel life.

And I'd rather not be seen.
I bought those shoes at a vintage store in NYC. It's become one of my favorite stores to visit every time I'm in the city. Tonight, I'm going out celebrating. There's a strip of bars in a village near me and it usually gets pretty crazy the night before Thanksgiving. All my friends are back from school for the break and since we are all finally 21 its time we celebrated altogether. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

knitted things
The knitted jacket is from a Hong Kong company called 2%. It was my sisters but when she moved out she left a bunch of clothes behind and now they belong to me. This is one of my favorite jackets and there is no way she's getting it back. The Dooney and Bourke bag as thrifted from an exchange store in Massachusetts. I got it for $20. It was seriously an awesome find.
